NIGERIAN SINGERS, OMALAY AND TEMS ARRAIGNED IN UGANDA

Nigerian singers Omalay and Tems has been arraigned before the Makindye Division court in Kampala, for flouting Covid-19 guidelines in Uganda.

The first rising stars were on Sunday, 13th December, arrested together with their managers for holding an illegal concert at Ddungun Resort in Munyonyo, where they gathered large crowds, contrary to the President’s directives on the prevention of the further spread of Covid-19.

According to information gathered, the organisers of the event disguised it to be just a lunch and dinner event but, it later turned out to be a concert with large crowds.

Omalay, Tems and others were arrested and charged for doing “acts that are likely to cause the spread of coronavirus” according to him, Assistant Suprintendent of Police and Deputy Police Spokesperson Luk Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan Police.
