A Port Harcourt based writer has come up to urge medical professionals and religious organizations around the globe to step up and research ways to put an end to the current pandemic virus. He says:
“Talking about how our case of the covid-19 has risen exponentially within a week it is unnecessarily a vivid display of the absolute ineptitude of our public health enforcement agency (NCDC). And It is the precipitating factor for the incertitude of the citizens“.
“It is saddening that we have massaged covid-19 for too long with negligence because it was said that it wasn’t as lethal as Ebola. So, we decided to play ostrich. Doing away with the saying: “make hay while the sun shines”.
“Thank God schools were shut down at the right time. And places of worship have been ordered to close down or else they will cure their stubbornness. But more still has to be done about sustaining the economy, because the closure of the International airport will run many businesses aground”.
“All in all, this is a trying time for our federal colleges of medicines and laboratories to step up their craft. It is also a test for the church to display their level of initiative towards curbing the dread” .
“There’s nothing to fret about. We should only be more meticulous about the sanity of ourselves and our children” .
“And let’s pray God will pour His purest refreshment on us as on our knees we tarry on. Let us on our feet watch with sobering focus for the signs are becoming clearer” .
